Zebronics Peace, shut down restarts the comp why?
I am having a strange problem, apart from other problem.
I got a new cabinet zebronics Peace & have connected the switches to the right one on the mobo via q-connector supplied with Asus P5B mobo.
Either the connectors are labeled wrong or some other problem.
Via start menu I shut it down , after shutting down it restarts on its own................................the old cabinet did not have any such problem.
If I press the reset button then Yes it resets it, so the connector to my knowledge are connected as required.
What is causing this restart?

Re: Zebronics Peace, shut down restarts the comp why?
reset cord is not very important one, so remove it & try
& also check the m/b manual for proper connction (to make sure everything is conncted properly)
(RESET switch's Alternate-> if your PC hangs, then just press & hold Power button for approx. 5 seconds & it'll shut down)

Just set default from bios. It seems feature like automatic Off on AC power loss or somethin has been enabled.

I will open the case & try suggestions from here & take pix to post, I have not change any bios setting & in old case they were working fine , so I am still assuming some connector has been connected wrongly.

Re: Zebronics Peace, shut down restarts the comp why?
I too have a problem don't know if it is a problem or a feature of the peace cabinet.
whenever i switch on the cabinet it starts and then shuts up after 1 sec and then automatically starts after 5 sec. Is it normal. ranjan2001 do you have the same problem? my vendor told me that it's a feature(i doubt it completely) he said the cabinet first tries to check all it's connected devices for a sec and then restarts if everything is fine otherwise it won't.? please help????????????

What a senseless vendors we all have to deal with bloody hell ..................................that means I can never shut down my comp ever in life , every time I shut down using start menu its for shutting it down for the night, then why the hell is this so called new technological invention from zebronics not letting me shut down.
These a** H***s dont know abc of what they sell, they dont have any qualification of IT products.
I am sure some thing is connected wrongly, user mistake but zeb should have provided proper instructions along with the cabinet, but its not supplied.
I will soon open the cabby & post images of my conection , if its sorted out hope then it can help u too.

Re: Zebronics Peace, shut down restarts the comp why?
Ok guys solved the problem by changing the sides of these connectors, now its not restarting.
earlier it was connected as per asus booklet instructions (when connected the text was down side)
but seems the wires in zeb-peace are set ultaa, so I tried connected reversed like this
& it worked perfectly.
tell those stupid vendors who invent new theories that shut down should should shut down.
I have these connectors not yet connected as I assume these are for front USB..........right?
Now coming to 2nd problem.
I set temp for the fan to start at 32°(default is set to 38C) & press the set button so it should store setting , on rebooting the temp is reset back to its default setting.
Is it not suppose to remember my settings?

Re: Zebronics Peace, shut down restarts the comp why?
dude, i had told you to do these in the other Cabinet in other thread , that the "Printed Side" of connectors should be facing outside .
i guess you didnt read that post
about temp. settings, it works perfectly on my AntiBiotic cabyy, so my suggestion is you try again.

Re: Zebronics Peace, shut down restarts the comp why?
I do remember some old thread discussing this but don't remember which one was it, I would have saved myself some trouble.
Anyway part of the problem is solved, now the temp issue needs to be looked into.
__________
s18000rpm
Now my HDD LED light is not working after changing, does that needs to be upside or down side, seems that the printing side up is only for the power connector only.
Can u check & report back.

Re: Zebronics Peace, shut down restarts the comp why?
ya, i meant only this way , i guess the m/b pins are configed that way , b'coz on my Intel 965WH m/b i had connected all connectors as in the above pic ("Printed side" facing outside) [no Q-connector], & then only it worked.
here is that pic (not a quality thing )
from this thread

Re: Zebronics Peace, shut down restarts the comp why?
Ok I reversed the HDD connector back as before now its working fine.
But my cabby is not storing its set temp..............I am doing something wrong or the temp dial is faulty.
__________
UPDATE
I Am Getting Mad Now
Shut down the comp & this restarting problem is back again, all I did was changed the HDD LED connector
If I use it ulta the problem is sorted out but the HDD led does not work, if I set it back to its original position then restarting problem happens again.

Re: Zebronics Peace, shut down restarts the comp why?
I got to return this cabby to the dealer & get a new one, getting too many problems,
temp seting not saved/
hdd led not working/
comp restarting on shutdown
before that I will just reset the bios to its default & rule out the possibility of some wrong settings from bios.

Re: Zebronics Peace, shut down restarts the comp why?
I think I finally have nailed down the problem, the asus way of connecting the connector is right like I had earlier show in this image
In bios the APM config > power on by PCIE was enabled, I disabled & tested it worked fine & have shut down 4 times since then using default settings & 2 OCed profiles & seems the problem is sorted out for now.
The connector is now connected as per the above image.
HDD led working
reset working
power shut down working.
Hope I can find the solution for temp setting too.
