Default System gets hang


hi...every one i had windows 200o earlier.....i tryed to upgrade to it XP, but when it completed first phase...and system rebooted then it gave a an error stating that might BIOS update is required...and also i have low memory ( but at that time in my C drive there was more than 1gb. (this error comes in blue window)................after that i installed XP sp2 in a new partition Drive I .....but when i start the XP and click on My computer system gets hang.................1.is it RAM problem???
2. i can get back my windows in C drive?

Blue screen is most probably Softwae Issue. Don't upgrade 2000 to XP. Use clean install and see.

i'm sorry but cudnt understand this part.

were you refering HDD space.
allocate atleast 5GB for XP in any drive (C:, D:...)

Write in order,

first your system specs,
then the problem and what you think....

Update ur BIOS and format the C Drive give XP 10 GB of space and upgrade ur RAM to atleast 256 MB but 512 will be better. For BIOS visit motherboard's vendor site and get latest BIOS for ur mobo model

whenever i boot my XP sp2 it starts normaly, but after some time when i try to open my document or my computer it gets hang.

Give your computer configuration otherwise noone will be able to give you a proper solution for your problem.

Also if you want to install xp, you need atleast 5 GB(1GB for windows+some for pagefile and some for the programs) in the partition which you install xp.
