Best Mobo for Dual core 2.8 with 1GB Ram u

I need 2 upgrade my system and have a budget of around 10K for a Dual core CPU about 1GB RAM and a mobo. My hardware guy has suggested Asus P5PE-VM or P5RD1-VM or a Gigabyte GA-8I945GZME. Any suggestions ??? I have 2-3 non SATA HDD's which I want to use

For 10k u can't get C2D. So the best choice in that range is Athlon X2 which too is nice.
U can get an Athlon X2 3600+ for 5.5k
For mobo I dun know AM2 mobos well
But even 1 GB DDR2 533 would cost u 5k. So u will have to make it a 512 MB and increase ur budget at least 1.5k more to get a mobo(mobo-around 3.5~4k).

I don't want a C2D i am going for a Dual core D-820. I am mostly into Photoshop & image editing, and need a Mobo with inbuilt graphic card, but with a flexibility to upgade later to a C2D

Dude Pentium D 820 is 2.8GHz not 2.66GHz.


@scamper its better to buy a Athlon X2 3600+ or 3800+ than a Pentium D 820.i've used a Penrium D 820 + Intel D945GNTL mobo and believe me performance of my present rig (see signature) is far better than Pentium D
