Default Internet connection sharing

Hi guys,

I have 2 computers in my home. I got an Airtel broadband connection for one computer. Now I would like to make both computers have access to the broadband connection. How do I do this ? I want each computer to be able to access the internet individually. Also one computer should not be switched on for the sake of the other accessing the internet. How do I go about doing this and what is the hardware required ? Both computers have Gigabit lan and USB ports available. The airtel broadband is through a Router based connection that can use USB or LAN. I have just used a LAN cable and connected both systems for gaming and file sharing purposes.
