Don't go for Western Digital Maxtor.
Western Digital hard disks are more prone to faults.
U may opt for Samsung or Seagate.
I was told this by a Hard Disk Recovery Centre personnel.

He must be talking about laptop hard disk. It's expensive than normal desktop hard disks.

Western Digital.

Seagate is good, but when you buy...double check if there is any unnecessary sound coming from the HD while working...

U can go for Hitachi 250 Gb SATA2 for 2.5k. Its better than Seagate or Samsung, nd has greater value for money.
