USB drive haunted..!!!!

Hi ,

My 1GB kINGSTON USB drive behaves strangely these days..Most of the folders and the files gets corrupted and even some of the txt files miss many of the data..replaced by strange symbols. A .max (3d pgm frmt) file of few KB's showed a size of 1gb plus... A word file got scrambled while another one got inverted horizontally, while yet another one showed only the title. But all of them here have the same inital file size.. I can't do error checking on the drive..reports "can't complete error checking"

whatz happening..?? gt ny idea...??

It is not a virus since I've done a virus scan and since my system also works fine..and interestingly/ unfortunately i had accidently dipped it into a bucket of water..(yes, i forget to take it out before getting my jeans washed..). Anything to do with that..???

even my Kingston 1 GB pen drive was going crazy , i have sent it for replacemnt, will get it in first week of march.
do the same...

is it made in china ????

yup.. it is made in China...i don't have the bill of my purchase. The product offers 5 year guarantee

today i got my 2 GB transcend and nicely cut through the gurantee sticker due to anxiety of taking it ,what will happen?will this be void of the claimed life-time gurantee (

water and thumb drives are immiscible.and u wonder wats the problem?

Kingston pen drives made in china are not of the best quality. One should buy the ones made in taiwan. Even my pen drive was of china and I have seen many others made in china , getting problems . my friend has one made in taiwan which works fine even after its rough use.
