Default rounded IDE cable

Is it safe using a rounded IDE cable instead of the original ones provided with the mainboard (ASUS p5B-VM), I am thinking of buying one from antec (cobra cables) check the link http://www.antec.com/us/productDetai...?ProdID=77226#, also I am sick of the 12 cm fan on the side panel of my zebronics peace cabinet, will it be safe to replace it with the antecs TriCool 120mm Trilight LED fan (is it equal in size to that of mine 12cm fan, will it fit there) have a look at the fan here, http://www.antec.com/us/productDetai...?ProdID=75027# .... please suggest me appropriately

but antec have one advantage, the two connectors provided with every fan.. both 3pin(for mainboard) and the 4pin(for smps)., though price is too high. currently browsing the coolermaster site for fans, i am thinking of getting this "UV Silent Fan 120 x120 mm - (SUF-S12)" what are it's connectors type., and the cost too.

Get cheap Cable wraps from any electronics shop. Cut in lengthwise with a sharp blade nd insert the Idecable after folding in triagonally. seal the wrap with some coloured or transparent sticky tapes.
see the pics.
U can do this to all cables inside ur PC for a neat look nd better airflow.

The grey one is cables from PSU nd the black one is the IDE. I on my work with more wrapping nd getting some good coloured tapes nd will post more pics in 2~3 days.

The cellotaped IDE is ugly on looks(also cheaper look) nd it doesn't bend perfectly. But its better than cable wraps when airflow is concerned.
