Default help need in upgrading...


i have AMD Athlon™ 64 3200+
1gb DDR ram
XFXgeforce 6600 256 MB (pci )
MSI RS482 mother board ....

right now i am able to play all the new games (eldar scrolls 4,ghost recon advanced warfighter..etc) at1024*738 resolution with 2X antilising,antritropic filltering on...BUt when i change the the resolution to 1280*1024..
i am thinking of upgrading...RAm to 2gb(should i add more????),,
also plz suggest the highest(i mean most advanced) grafhic card ..compatible with my motherboard...

p.s. are the new geforce 8800GTX or geforce 8800gts compatible with my motherboard ?????

I don't know abt Graphic card.
about the ram- Buy another 1GB ram.

You don't need 2GB instead buy 1GB more and save the money to buy a good graphics card...in April the budget DX10 compatible cards will be out.

Yes 8800GTX & 8800gts are compatible with your mobo

Yes for ur current proccy nd gcards 1 Gb is enough nd for games its ur card which is bottleneck nd not memory or CPU.

Also u can't even get half the real perfomance of 8800GTX in ur system. Ur CPU nd RAM will be a big bottleneck. Ull need about 2GB dual channel nd a min of X2 3800+ to even stress a 8800GTX a lil bit.

so ur telling i should change the processor ?...
the max i can put with the 939 pin is x2 4200 i guess but whts its cost?
also should i wait before i get a new G-card ?
