The casing for Laptop hard discs(80/120GB) are available in market. The price for the casing marketed by Transcend is Rs. 850/-(in Kolkata). Low priced(Rs. 200/-) casings are also available. Installation is hassle-free. If you purchase portable Hard Disc and casing from the same shop, they will assemble them.

ofcourse... just approach a computer shop n ask them to do a USB casing over yo 20gb hd.. jus a 15mins work but it would cost u around 700...
--------------*****----------------*****------------
my opinion ,dont ever go for portable hard disks(iff size doesnt matter as u would ave power cables n stuufs), rather buy an internal hd n do an external casing for it.. Njoy wid yo portable hd..

Go for a brand called GEMINI (it's cheap and reliable brand) you will get the USB case with all the required cables & a manual with pictures on how to assemble it...it is as easy as adding light bulb.

There are 2 models in GEMINI
1. Rs.500/-= without cooling fan
2. Rs.850/-= with cooling fan

The cooling fan is not really required...I say this coz I hav both of them which I purchased a few months ago and both work well. The advantge of the HDD case with cooling fan is that you can alternatively connect your internal CD/DVD Writer to that case to make it a external CD/DVD Writer.
