Sony DRU120 dvd writer ..how is it !!??

Hi everyone...

I was seriously planni to get a Liteon LH20A1P, but it seems there was no service in my city [trivandrum] & no one was selling it . Also the dealers tell tat if any complaint arises , i need to directly contact B'lore/ Mumbai office. ....its sad that Liteon service centres/ dealers are not avaialble here..DOes anyone know of any..?

So, sadly im planni to settle for Sony..one of te dealers told that Sony DRU120 has 16x speed & coms to arnd 1900-2000 Rs..

hows it guys..anyone new reg ths model & how relaible it is..??

There are enough posts on the forum discussing which is the best DVD writer. Most members feel that the model which you have mentioned is quite good. My friend is using that and he is quite satisfied with it.

Hi, is ths model [Sony DRU120 ]an old one .?? which s te latest sony midel.my dealers told they have ths model with them..
didnt mention other models like Sony"s 830 U & 830 A..

dude dont go for he DRU 120 A version ..it suckz me and my friend were really tourtured by this one .......best will be if u go for the sony box packed one if ur able to get the DRU120 boxed version then dere r no probs!!

dont go for sony dvd writer cos they are just selling either lite on , benq or these days samsung rebagded drives .. under their faceplate ..and also they are costly than the companies mentioned above ..

benq was great in dvd writers .. but since its has been bought by lite on ... these days .. if anyone has to go for dvd writer it has to be lite on ..

i think u should go for it . cos the no of hacks . and firmware support and also the quality of dvd writing this drives offers is very good .. or lite on 18x or 16x drive will do too ..

Hi yogi, ! u i was only looki for Liteon models !! but, unfortuantely no computer dealers are selling it in my city, Trivandrum !! badluck!!
they all say tat the service of Liteon is poor, they have to send it to Bangalore or Delhi...So they are not stoking it ..!!!
so with deep regret only I m looki for Sony dvd writers now wat abt other models like LG, Samsung etc etc.....itsmy fate that i cdnt procure a Liteon, my dream dvd writer !!!
