Smile HDD????????? Which to buy?

Hello, i am thinking to buy a new HDD of 40 GB. I already have 50(10+40)GB in my pc. I just wanted to know that whether it will work in my pc with the following conf.:

Pentium 3 500 Mhz
Intel i810 graphics
10/100 Lan
(10GB+40GB)HDD already installed
AC'97 Sound
52x(CD-R WRITE)/32x(CD-RW)/52x(READ) CD RW Sony
8 USB Ports
Windows Xp

Power Supply Unit- 450 Watts

Possibly another lan card to be added and linux loaded.

On the abv conf. suggest which one to buy, i.e. internal/external

Also suggest company. I would like to buy Segate only.

For internal i have Secondary Slave IDE port empty.

Thanks in advance.

Well, If you have an IDE port empty, you can attach a new hard drive. Why dont you go for something more than 40GB? now a days rates of hard drives are pretty low.

I would suggest for going for a extenal one means an internal drive in external casing as it will provide mobility too

I don't move hdds. To move data, i just upload it to the www & distribute. Also internal hdds are cheap.
