Question checksum??????


hi,
guys.....when i start my pc it doent boot and gives a an error "cmos check sum error" i changed my cmos batteries but steel there is a problem.......is there any problem in my SMPS.....? or mother bord OR my OS is couse?

The most common cause of checksum errors in CMOS is a battery that is losing power. Viruses can also affect CMOS settings, and motherboard problems can also affect the stored values.
Viruses can corrupt the CMOS memory (although they cannot reside in it).
So scan the system with good udated antivirus.
A failing supply can lead to problems with the whole system, and especially motherboard components.

Was having the same problem, but changed the battery and now i m happy.

check your battery port sometimes the pins around loose up and the battery does not work properly
