LG combo problem

hi.
i have a lg gcc-4522B combo drive.the combo cant recognise a dual layer dvd, even though nero 7 says otherwise.
the firmware version is 1.08.is there a new firmware that will make it raed the dual layer dvd?
pls advise.

Firmwares can make this happen surely.. I think others will also provide you link to the firmware update website... And yes it is possible

even I have LG combo. It can very well read DL DVDs. try updating firmware. also , nero 7 sucks , try nero 6.x or other burning softwares for all ur burning needs.

Update the Firmware it should work
Nero 7 is totally useless
Use Nero 6.X

Product -> Combo Drive
O/S -> All
Subject -> Firmware
& click Search. Now d/l the new firmware version.

that link above has only v1.04 while i hv v1.08.is there any newer version?
