RAM Compatibility

i have Intel D845GBV original motherboard with 256MB DDR 400 Twinmos RAM. i want to buy Transcend 512MB DDR400. will it compatible with each other?

I have same mobo and use 128mb Hynix + Transcend 512mb DDR 400 but didn't getting performance (though PC didn't get Crashed all work OK) as we used to get with 640mb RAM , on advice from Ch@os I remove 128mb RAM and now I can experience the Good speed.

He is using two DDR400 sticks so there will not be any performance lags. Both sticks will run at the maximum frequency supported by the 845 family, or DDR1 for that matter.

I dont think dual channel is available on the 845's neway so you wont face any (possible) performance lags.
