Default HDD Connectivity problems


Hey , i got a seagate 80gb sata hdd and i connected it to my motherboard but the problem is that the computer does not recognize it .
I checked my HDD on another computer and it was working fine .
Then , i give it to a repair shop and said that theres a problem in the motherboard chipset .... what the hell ???

Can someone help me here and tell me some sol. for the problem .

try changing the IDE cable....if that is not problem..try connecting another HDD to ur PC...u will know where the problem is.......the HDD or mobo
