which wud suit vista if i wud decide to upgrade by next week

If you have enough budget then buy C2D, it's the best out there right now.
You haven't mentioned anything about your budget and what use will you be putting your computer to.

well an option for both ....

1. gaming
2. normal use .... imp thing vista should work nicely ... imean the procy shouldnt be the cause of vista's slow performance

Well it depends on your budget and what components you are looking for.
A C2D e6300 + a decent mobo will atleast cost 14-15K. So, if you want to buy RAM, Graphics card and all then you atleast need a budget of 40K.
Otherwise AMD has cheaper solutions.

Intel has the performace crown now. nothing in AMD's stable can beat C2D (as of now)

forget the budget im still working on the logistics (doesnt mean il get the hi-fi system) ... i wanna know which is a better option coz b4 c2d ... it was amd as the obvious choice ... is amd's answer tot he c2d good enough ...

my way know wats the best option and then see wat can b compromised

Currently there's nothing in the market that can rival C2D.
