Question Help in buying UPS

I want to buy new UPS a branded one (500VA or 650VA) but i am confused which one to buy. looked through various brands on the internet such as powersafe, APC. The UPS should have a good voltage management system and i mean really good. my old UPS automatically shifts to Backup mode whenever there is a high or low voltage problem and it does not come back to normal mode, though it should. help me with new UPS

In apc two of the three plugs are backupped with battery. The other one simply has a Surge Protector, no battery supply during power loss.

I am usin WeP 500 since last 1.5 years, and its still giving me 20 minutes of backup with my 17" monitor turned on...

APC or numeric are considered very good , in addition POwer safe is also very good.. APC 500 is better , if you dont have 19" screen then only.

APC 500 VA should be 2000+ in Delhi. Bought it 2 years backs. Worked fine. Got replaced just 10 days before completion of 2 years. Great warranty & service.

Will APC 800 VA enough for C2D setup with 19" wide TFT and all other usual stuff. Any idea of cost? Is Powersafe available in Delhi??

The switch in my APS UPS broke down. I used to keep it on the ground and switch it on with the thumb finger of the foot. After few days it came out. Then I used to use a Ball Point Pen Refill, that worked for a few days and then that to stoped working.

Bad switch i must say.

Man i am screwed ... I remember guy telling me 6000 and i bargained for about 15 min he reduced the prices by 800rs after telling me that he is giving me at company prices.... and he did tell 500VA to be 2200 i think but told me that 650va is so expensive because of two batteries and higher capacity board... he told me whatnot.....

I guess with stories he told me the guy was really convincing.... So he must have deserved the extra cash

Thanks for giving price & contact. Price is difficult to belive, everybody quoting different for Back-UPS RS 800 [the one I wanted] from 5000 to 6000.
Meantime I checked with APC headquarters in Bangalore and requested them to indicate price to me so that I know how much I am robbed?

They quoted me Rs 4995/ So I new that I am only robbed by Rs 300 because my little dealer who orders from Noida is giving me for 5300. It might be arround 4500 - 5000 at Delhi. Check the exact model from APC site, they have many variants.

650 VA is arround 3000 - 3500. Really don't know if twin batteries, then may be costly. Twin batteries will only help in longer back up, it will not solve the problem, if you need more VA for high end machine.
