Unhappy Recover Quick formatted partition.

I mistakenly quick formatted my E Drive partition (NTFS) having 37 GB space. Then I installed Windows XP on it. But I lost my important documents, softwares, data . How can I now recover that data.

try the freeware pci file recovery, but if it's overwritten dont expect too much, paid softwares can be more useful if data is really important, cease any operation on HDD immediately

u q-ftd... then u installed os on the same drive.... ur chances r slim... with 35gb of matter... u might get some (or if u r really lucky.. most) back...
Stellar Phoenix is the professional way. Only that might give u the max data out. But u'll've 2 pay for it.
For free.. u can try Restoration.

But don't copy anythin more into that drive for time being.

But frankly.. IMHO.. forget it. Try downloadin the stuff again.Of restoring & downloading, the latter is the lesser evil.

Smile Recovered Quick formatted partition.

I recovered all my 36GB Data including that from September 2006, DVDs, Movies, Music, Winxp SP2, Encarta 2006, etc.using FILE SCAVENGER 3.0, but 10% *.exe files were corrupted. When I open those restored *.exe files, CMD opens , then dialogbox with CLOSE or IGNORE, Is there any way to fix them!
