Default Sony DRU 830A


I want to buy a DVD writer and the dealor says that Sony Dru830A is the latest and best. Has anyone purchase this dvd writer and could they give me a feedback as to how is the performance, pros , cons etc. Also the price given to me by the dealor is Rs. 2650 /- is it ok or am i paying more.

Second OVER priced

Third..its one of better drive not best

well as wizrulz said wrong section.
but u can get sony DVD RW DW-G120A for around 2100-2200.
i got mine a 2 months back, n its working fine.

but if u can get access to Sony DRU 830A then better. cost 2300-2400

Nowadays a DVD-writer is a DVD-writer. There's not much more to it. Its like buying a CD-ROM drive. Buy the cheapest available with good warranty and hope that it doesn't fail. And if it does, get another one (no point repairing...).

Dude,the Sony DRU-830A is a rebadged Samsung SH-S182D and the burns are not very good.So be aware of what you're buying.
