upgrade help plzzzz.

i am planning to uphrade my ram to 1 gb and also planning to have a dvd writer ... at present i have 512 ddr ram.... can anyone tell me how much will this all cost .... and tell me which dvd writer should i go for.... though there r many threads on the best dvd writer but none of them hve reached a conclusion ...so plzzz suggest.....

will 512 mb ram will cost u around 2700/- (kingston)..and around 3k for transend.

For DVD writer I will suggest u sony..it will cost u 1900/-

transcend 512 DDR 400 is 2050/- in Mumbai...

Check your motherboard documentation on WHICH speed of RAM does it support(DDR or DDR2 both with varying speeds are available).
For DVD writer I suggest Liteon as it has got best rating in CHIP, DIGIT as well as PC WORLD.

Sony isn't a good option for DVD writer go for
Plextor > Iomega > Liteon > Sony > Benq > Samsung=LG

Plextor is really gud..
I use Lite-on 1635s . It hasn't given me any problems so far...

can any1 tell me how much 1GB/2GB ddr2 800 mhz will cost??
