Transcend 1GB ram 800MGz not available

I bought a new system but whole nehru place I could not find Transcend 1GB ram 800MGz all say its not available, meanwhile I borrowed 667 1gb ram from a friend to get the system run but had other problems, will sort out tommorrow.

I need some dealer contact info who can get this ram ASAP I need 2x 1GB

One thing i noticed ... Transcend modules are costing the same as Corsair Value modules .. u should get the later

Corsair was quoted for 9250/- for 1gb but I was suggested not to buy that one so I am looking for transcend.

Transcend has practically outperformed corsair value ram ( Though XMS is still better) and so the suggestion.

10 days of waiting I still cant find the 1 GB Transcend DDR2 800 Mhz RAM, no one has it.

I have the following choice

Buy 667 1GB x 4 sticks (will it overclock same as 800?)
Wait for 800 to arrive (I am on loaned ram have to return it)
Get CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) from US
or
Get the 2x1gb cellshock 1000 DDR2 from US
or
2x 1gb crucial ballistix DDR2-1000

which works better as I need to overclock & the comp will do graphic editing mostly apart from usual surfing & music in the background.

in reference to another thread here CAS latency of the ram which one should I buy?

^^check xtremesystems and u'll know the answer to what to get . Mine does 1160 4-4-4-12 @ 2.45V. Ownage ram. I run it 24/7 at 1000 2.15.

yup am too waiting for that RAM for the last 1 month . Had to purchase kingston 512 667MHz RAM , will upgrade to that one when I will have a graphics card.

Yes it is possible to reach 800. I was touching 740 when I had those, but nothing is garunteed. you will be able to OC your C2D to max 2.8 if you are successful to OC you ram to 800 Mhz.

If you want to get it from US get a 2x1gb cellshock 1000 DDR2.

Waiting for 800mhz could also be an option if you know a dealer who can give you some kind of assurance about the RAM availability.
