Default People About to buy Core 2 Duo 6300/6400....WAIT!!!

HI All,

This for all those people who are planning to go for C2D 6300/6400. Just wait for Q2 2007. Low end 6000 series C2D processors will recieve 4 MB cash as against the current 2 MB. Currently the E6300 and E6400 both have 2MB L2s, but both chips will be replaced by 4MB versions - the E6320 and E6420 respectively. Clock speeds and other details won’t change, but performance will obviously increase. The best part of it all is that pricing won’t change either, so if you’re contemplating buying an E6300 or E6400 you’d be better off waiting a quarter so you can get the extra cache for free.

Thought to share this info with all of you. Few links to check out...

Thanks for Info. My local vendor suggested me to wait till Jan 25 of this month for rates of C2D to fall and some new versions as you mentioned to appear in market. But he is pretty confident that it is happening right now and we don't have to wait till Q2 2007, atleast for price fall.

Thats why they are trying to relaunch it with 4 mb catche. Otherwise why would they give you this 4 mb for same price. There is some fault, which they are trying to cover up by lowering price & adding 4 mb. They are not Danveer like Karan. They are equally bad as Indian Relaince Co.

watever it is... it takes hell lotta time to reflect those price cuts in India....

maybe v can expect those prices by Q2...

like current prices for E6300 are hovering around 8300 but i had to buy it for 9250 and that too in PUNE....prices here are too high and ppl will clean the costly stock first..!!at costlier price only..!!

You are lucky at 9250, I am told Rs 9800, that is for me for normal public, it is arround 10200. Agra sucks. Vendors are cheating customers at their will. No transparent prices.

You have mentioned price of Rs 8300, where is this price from?

I dont know what makes you think there is something wrong with the processors. There is nothig wrong, its their markiiting strategy, would you think Intel would ship a processor worldwide with a defect or "with something wrong" then call back the entire lot if defective. It does not work this way

Which is compliant motherboard then in 965 chipset with onboard graphics at affordable price and good performer. Don't suggest Asus P5B deluxe for 12000.

I am not a overclocker and that don't intrest me [keeping temps in control].

Is there any good motherboard in 965 chipset with ATI graphic onboard ofcorse for intel platform [like D101GCC]. I am talking about a board in the range of 5-7k with onboard garphics preferably from ATI, support for C2D & DDR2 [Can be be Crossfire or SLI if within same range otherwise need not be croissfire or sli]

D101GCC is not 965 and is not for C2Ds. With 5-7 thousand the only 965 board I can think off is MSI P965 Neo, then again as with most of 965 chipset it does not have an onboard graphic. The only 965 board I know which has on board graphic is Gigabyte DS3 but its 8k-9K.

its a mid-end card.....was there is digit's gfx card review in the oct issue

I'll wait till a gud dx10 card is out & then upgrade

Ofcourse Intel not welcome here. They are plenty in market and I could have bought that without requesting any experts here.

sam9s, I know D101GCC is not 965 and mentioned it here only to know that is there some board like this one in 965 with ATI graphics onbaord. MSI 965 Neo is under consideration and it is very good board for 6K+ and this one is also recommended by Test center but it do not have onboard graphics. Right now I do not have any problem as I have graphic card but I keep changing mobos every six month of so, it will then become difficult for me to move out this board without onboard graphics, ovibously people [lookoing for secaond hand] will not be able to buy my XFX Geforce 6600GT along with board.

I am not sure but someone said that ATI is coming up with such a board with RX 1200 graphics onboard for intel platform. But I doubt this because of ATI impending merger with AMD.
