Default Amd X2 3600+

I have AMD X2 3600+ (Am2)
Board is MSI K9NGM (Nvidia 6100)
512 DDR-2
160 GB SATA (Seagate)

//I recently used my Friend's System which is as follows:
//AMD Athlon 64 3000+(754 pin)
//Asrock (nvidia 6100) Model i don't remember
//512 RAM
//160 PATA Seagate.

BUT i didn't notice any significant performance difference between them.
What's wrong? I am planning to add another 256 MB ram. Will it give any better results?

Well , basic windows performance will not differ much , except the fact that u maybe able to burn two cd/dvd's simultaneously ... in gaming u should have a slight edge ..

Try to add another 512 mb module, u can take advantage of dual channel
access.
