Money could've beeb spebt better , bt then DAD IS HAPPY with widescreen

Well i think you should get 320 GB or 250 GB HDD. 80 GB HDD is useless now. Especially if you are into games.

Actually I'm not at all into gaming . I prefer outdoor games to indoors .Also this is my 1 st PC , wanted it to be a basic( very basic ) config , but due to aforementioned reasons , the budget rocketed up ! Its a trimmed down HTPC , with rthrust on music n watchin movies n occasionally recording/editing.
N of course doing my routine tax / a/c jobs !!

NE ways thnx 4 sugg. , will keep them in mind whenever I/my frnds need a new rig ________

Thnx dr saab . I just cudnt find MSI K9N GM2 here . Any idea what I missed by opting for m2n pv vm .

K9 has 7.1 while m2n has 5.1 audio codec .
Was wondering what is the use of SPDIF in/out ? ne idea ?

Also one grouse is tht , the mobo has a tv port , but no bundled connecting cable . will hav to get it separately . Rest is all pretty good .What do u think of the prices ?

Music and video editing still need loads of HDD space. It is not just games that requires loads of space. Most of the application need lot of space.

BTW:- Is your HDD is SATA or IDE?.

Not much really. SPDIF is used in high-end speakers for a better quality output with minimum signal distortion.

@ thunderbird 117 - it is SATA 2 , n has best reviews in 80 gb category .
N u sure r right , infact i regret not going for 160 gb @ just 600 bucks more.
