my DVD rom Not work

today suddenly i got one message at the time of booting "Secondry slave drive--- ATAPI Incompatible..Press F4 to resume . this is my DVD ROM drive which is now not working.My computer does not shows this drive now. I don't know what happen .Is it a hardware error or DVD rom has gone?? Before that DVD rom was working fine. i also try to connect my DVD rom to each IDE cable And also primary or secondry slave but same error occurs. when i conenct to another CD ROM to that cable it works fine..means cable or IDE conenctor are fine.
i have P4,samsung DVD roM(purchase via digit)

nope its not dead

the thing is that it got unplugged inside the cabinet
open the cabinet and plug it back in


that is what happened to my floopy drive

you mean Power cable disconnected?cause he has checked and reconnected other connectors
