please help me regarding graphix cards.

friends please help me. though i am not that much hard core gammer but i like to play some light games.well i recently have brought splinter cell chaos theory but the game doesnt start it says your graphix card does not support shader model 1.1.

well i need a graphix card that has 256mb memory and supports
shader model 3.0
shader units 8-12
memory bandwidth 128.

or else a card which is cheap on which and i can play splinter cell chaos theory smoothly at its lowest settings.

well if there is any such card please mention.
well my budget is max 5k.

for 5k u cant get a good Gfx card.... tho u shd try n go for the 7600gs 256mb pcie.. its arnd 5.6k..

Just wait for DX10 based low-mid end GPU's.I believe till march 2007!!!But if u don't wanna wait,then go for any DDR3 GFX card.

X1600Xt is for 5500 the brand name is : leadtek

I don't think LEADTEK make ATi cards,its nVidia based buddy,must be something wrong!!!

i am really very sorry to say but WE are selling leadtek and MSI brands in ATi chipsets at our shop..

didnt have a link for it ...
and msi costs rs. 6700/-

Is it a joke,is it home made card!!!Dude i m googling around & i m not able to find LEADTEK X1600XT.If leadtek make any of Ati's card,there must be somewhere on the web.
Ok if u r saying that u have the cards then whats the price of X1800GTO & XL.
Please give me ur address,i m sure i 'll definetly buy graphics card from u...probabely X1800GTO.

well thanks for the replies.but will the cards you mentioned run splinter cell and bloodmoney types game smoothly at lowest and midrange(800x600) settings.

Absolutely!!!Any graphics card which has DDR3 RAM works fine.If u choose DDR2 then also it will work on lower resolution.But i suggest choose wisely & only DDR3 ,if u want to run games smoothly even on 1280X1024.
6600 GT is good but go for 7600GT instead of 6600GT.6600 was also good card but now it has been overpowered by 7600!!!

Well 7600GT will be way out of your budget. It will cost around 9-10K. 7600GS is somewhere around 5.5-6K and should be good for you. And NFS MW demo was running fine at 1024x768 though I found 800x600 more preferable.

i have 6800 GS & i play NFS MOST WANTED on everything MAXX. & i never saw any low frame rate on it...so far,it's an AWESOME card 7600 is better than 6800 GS but the only advantages of 6800 is bandwidth & 256 Bit.
