HEY i have an amd athlon 64 3000+ socket 754 and the performance is very poor. even blender 2.40 is not running. i am facing very poor performance. can tell me a idea that can speed up a bit...

An upgrade maybe?

Whatever tweaking you do with the software isn't going to help that much. Get more RAM, a better processor etc.

See upgrading the ram amount bring some tremendoes increase in overall response of the system nd dun blame an athlon 64 3000+ any more. Its a gud procy nd u might want enough ram nd at least a sata 7200rpm HDD nd a gfx card to use the procy full potential.

the the same processor for more than a year with my pc on more than 16hrs a day still everything is very fast
