Question Features of Sony DVD RW-G120A ???


am having sony DVD RW-G120A dual layer writer could any one tell me the features & specifications ???

Is it possible to write with 18x speed in my drive ???

Read the manual that came with the drive or run Nero InfoTool.

The G120 is same as the sony dual dvd writer but the CD writing/reading speed is only 40x whereas the normal one does this at 48x. No ther specs diff.
I personally say this OEM version is better than the normal acc to my personnal exp.

G120 sony is a oem verison of 830A its great having all the features of a modern DVDwriter and all the others DONT BE SO RUDE yaar the guy just asked the features...

so be cool ...

i think the only writer with 18x is Samsung.........

AFAIK they are not the same... 830A is a benq drive whereas the G120 is an optiarc(NEC and Sony consortium) drive. The G120 has better write quality. 18X is a marketing gimmick. There is no 18X media available only a few TY and MCC discs can be oversped to 18X and you get neither of that media in India .

hey buddy !!! SONY G120A i too have it and its the same other than its a n oem to Sony DRU-830 ok so read the text carefully at a renowned hardware tester site. ok.. and yeah you are correct that no 18X media is available but Sony itself makes 18X media DVD which is not availablle loosely its in 10 box packs .. look for it .. and its available in india at delhi nehru place market...
