if it is not a hardware conflict
1.check the source setting in windvr (tv ,sv etc.)should bet tv(sv causes black screen)
2.if 1 not works reinstall windvr.
3.if 2 not works check your cable connection to pc by bringing a tv there.
4.if none of them work try some other pvr software.
5.if any of them work please repute me

Can you hear any audio when the screen is blank..or is it totally dead.

What happens if you increse / reduce the volume? Does it show any volume indicator on screen?
