Question Pc not working


Hi friends.My pc has stopped working.When i start the pc the hard disk LED on the front panel glows but the power LED doesn't.There is no POST.The screen remains blank.Also the cd drives tray do not open.What could be the solution?

for a start tighten the connectors in the motherboard.then see if it works.

check if your psu fans n cpu fans are running
then see whether led on mobo(if it has one) is glowing?

This can be a simple problem that generally happens with everyone's PCs.
Just open the cabinet, remove the CMOS Battery and RAM. Keep it idle for around 1-2 minutes. Meanwhile clear the dust accumulated over the motherboard. Now insert the RAM in to its slot and the battery too.
Startup the computer. If the display comes, then everything is ok. Change the system time; save and exit.
Everything should go fine by now.
Else try replacing the RAM with another.

The problem is either wit ur PSU or ur RAM...
remove ur RAM, clean it with a eraser n place it again...
and check all the PSU wires..

Remove all add-in cards,optical drives,HDDs,and try to switch on the PC with only proccy and ram.If it doesnt pwr on den remove ram and try only wit proccy.

Firstly clear BIOS
if doesnt solve then it sud b a SMPS problem.
Check if the system fans r working or nt?

Friends I showed my machine to a pc engineer.He told that the motherboard has been damaged & so i brought a new one.Thanks for ur suggestions.
