Default Samsung Hdd problem please help


I am having Samsung (SV4002H) 40 GB HDD it is 4year old
the problem is that even after fdisk & formatting computer is not able to boot from it
when i boot from bootable cd then prompt can gon on c: & d:
and drives are available file get copied & pasted but why is not booting
i tried formatting for dos booting then also same problem
i tried WinXP setup setup gets installed but when setup is going restart and setup does not start futher

sorry for bad english but please try to understand my problem

help me

would this problem be solved with zero fill if yes please provide me link to image file of bootable zero-fill cd
i also tried the Hutil.exe from samsung.com for low level formatting but this hutil is not detecting my HDD
i own A Intel D102GGC motherborad & 3.2 ghz processor (641)

one thing to note that hDD works fine in XP means i have another 80 SATA which i use as my primary hdd
i want to sell my this 40 gb and take another one of 80GB SATA
