Most 17 inch monitors give you that resolution at an acceptable refresh rate of 72-72hz. 60Hz is too low.

Though you will be better off with an LCD...

As I know....u can have variable resolution system only in CRT moniters. In case of TFT moniters, they have a fixed resolution for best perfomance.I always suggest for a flat CRT moniters.CRT moniters ahve only one problem,i.e,they are bulky.

What is the price? This has also the same max resolution as Sync master 798MB plus. So what's new if it is more expensive?

Just spend a bit more and get a 15" LCD... same viewing area as a 17" CRT and no refresh rate issues to worry about. Should be around 8 grand.

i reccomended this coz, i'm using it for nearly a year now without any complaints.
Its Clarity is Fantastic & Radiation thing is very low.

I play games nearly 4 hours straight & have no complaints of eye strain...
