Full Circle...

okay the Q comes full circle and this time with a conclusion !!!
But I need your HELP !!!

Okay as you know I had that "AGP card Geforce 6800 GT" which had 2 Molex inputs

Now I upgraded my motherboard to an AGP 8x and all... but the computer still hanged !!! (like the previous one, which i blamed on my NIC CARD)

Then... i realised, i have never fully given the two inputs !!!
I always gave power using only one molex

But then I used both... and let's say till no nothing is FREEZING

So obiviously the TWO input is IMP !!! (even when not playing the GAMES and all )

Now my Q is "The AGP card is clever enough right? It will not just draw tooo much power for nothing right?"

It will only draw power according to it's load right?

PS: I bought a single stick of 1 GB of RAM for my motherboard!!!
Should i have opted for 512 * 2... or is it OK ?
I heard 2 stick give you some more perks... is it right? im confused (as always)

The gfx card will only draw the required amount of power....why would it draw "too much" Yes, power consumption of the system does varies between load and idle. Well u can calculate the power consumption over here http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculator.jsp

As for the second query, if ur mobo supports dual channel RAM then 512*2 will be a better choice.
