Samsung DVD combo drive noise problem

hi

I have been using intel p4 processor with samsung dvd combo drive. The problem is while playing mp3 cds, audio cds and dvd movies, there comes an irritating hissing noise from the speakers but if i copy the same dvds or mp3s to my hard disk and while playing there is no noise. How could i overcome this problem.

My pc config
intel p4 2.66ghz
asus p5glmx motherboard
samsung dvd combo
256 mb ram and 80 gb harddisk

Enable DMA for this drive.

i personally really don't like any of samsung optical drive !!!!

reason , one thing i had seen in many computers including mine , it's patented failed drive tray technology , if even after getting too many complaints over the same topic , samsung never care to fix this single drawback , then how this company can think of getting good market share at all !!!

Yes I also dont like samsumg optical drive personally.Ur solution may be at samsung service centre.They can only repair ut optical drive.Best of luck.
