Hang PC! No Display!Please Suggest
I have a strange problem with my computer....
My Machine Config is : -
Pentium 4 3.0 GHz with 2mb L2 Cache.
Intel 945 GTP (Micro ATX)
512x2 = 1GB DDR2 533 MHz in dual Channel Mode.
160 GB SATA Seagate
1.44 Mb FDD (Sony)
Sony Dru 810a (Primary Slave)
Samsung DVD-Rom (Primary Master)(Later Added)
My board have 2 PCI slots….when i bought the machine …there is only one optical drive…and no PCI cards but later I add a Lan card (D-Link) for networking purpose ,the machine was absolutely fine….after couple of month I add the Samsung Optical drive (Which is my earlier machine…and it is in good condition),and when I try to boot up the machine was hang up…no bios screen come up …there is no display, Only HDD and FDD lights turn on.
If I remove the PCI cards or any optical drive then it is again work fine….Or even I installed 2 PCI cards and 1 optical drive the system can’t work…I mean hang up problem arise.
My Lan card is absolutely fine and 2 PCI slot also…. I even tried with new Lan card ….and other PCI slot device like TV Tuner card.
So the conclusion is my PC supports only 1 optical drive + 1 PCI card device….And now the question is,
Is it the problem of SMPS ? I am using I Ball cabinet with its bundled 400 Watt SMPS.(24 Pin Connector)
I think the SMPS can’t draw enough power and create a bottle neck when it require for the other device which I add lately.
Or the problem lies in where ? Please suggest me.
N.B:- I know the I-Ball SMPS is not ideal for my Config ….but in my place (Kolkata) there heard to find the Antec /Zebronix PSU.
