Exclamation Please Help Someone!!!! hardware problem.

I have a handycam with USB interface. The problem is that when I insert it in my computer, the computer hangs. My computer specifications are:

50 GB harddisk
256 MB RAM
500 Mhz Pentium 3 Processor
Intel Video Card 32 MB

Same problem was occuring when I used my HP PSC 1410 for either scanning or printing. But I could find the reason for it, that is a Trojan Horse in my computer. But I repeatedly scanned my computer with Avast Antivirus 4.7 with latest updates but couldn't find any virus or trojan horse.

The handycam was purchased one month ago. It is not defective and it works on my friend's laptop. It is under warranty.

Please help me.

Give the Motherboard model .

Try scanning with BitDefender AV (on-demand scanner) in safe mode.

for the Printer, goto HP website & download updates for the Printer Drivers.

go here for Printer Problem, select "Softwares & Drivers Download"-> your OS"

i also have the same Printer & had problems in Printing word documents which had graphics (picture) in it, but a simple driver update solved the problm.

Fro Printer Problem:::
UPDATE your PRINTER DRIVER.
I've given the link above.

If you're on unlimited bandwidth (BroadBand), then run a Online Virus scan.

Angry Anybody Can't Help?

Has anyone any solution to the described problem of hanging? I think no one has. It has been a week since I posted this problem.

From my past experience of a friend facing same problem unable to plugin any usb device, it was found that his xp pro "copy" was having a problem he formatted than HDD & got the problem solved when he installed XP pro from another disk.

He use to get BSOD the moment he connected any usb device, he too tried every thing but nothing worked.

Go to the Device manager and delete all the USB Root Hub entries.

Restart the computer and it would automatically get installed.

Try it then and it should work
