Unhappy My writers r jinxed ???

I wrote to digit for n number of times but no one helps. So please please please help me out !!!!

I had a Samsung combo drive. it worked fine for a few months, then i bought a compaq pc ( 1435IL) . But it started to show problems in that pc the same day. I thought my drive is getting old, so i bought a sony dvd writer i dont remember the model but its a new one. It worked well but after 2 months, it showed the same problem as my samsung drive.

The problem is that if i play an audio cd or a movie, then do some other work, pc speed slows down very badly and also the audio starts to stutter and video becomes a slide show. N drives suck up all resources wen operating . But my pc is very mintained and fast otherwse.

I HAVE 512mb DDR ram @400mhz , with 2.9 GHZ Pentium 4 processor !!

Then y is it happening ? I think its related to my pc, because two drives of different brands r showing same problem. That two after working properly for a few months.

PLEASE PLEASE help me, i m sick of it.

There's just 2 things that are still the same even with your new PC and drive:
1) You
2) Your XP's CD

Since 1) cannot be changed, try changing 2)

What about when playing a movie from Hard disk? Does it still slow down the PC?
