Unhappy Guys i hav a problem. Plz help.


Hi guys, today my system started hanging. And afterwards gives a memory related error. Sometimes it shows that error at the starting of windows. What can b the problem? Help me plz.

sounds like faulty memory. It could also be processor overheating, clean all fans. Also post the exact error you get. check temperature from BIOS.

Processor is nt overheating. I hav checked the temp.
This msg is shown at the windows xp startup screen-

the instruction at 0* 77c46834 referenced memory at 0x00000000.
The memory cud not be read.
Click ok to terminate.
Cancel to debug.

What cud b the problem?

its prob related to memory..remove and clean the slots and reinsert the RAM again..

The problem has been solved.
I just cleared the BIOS, cleaned the RAm and re-inserted it.
Now for the time being it is working FIne.

Thanx for the help friends.
The problem has been solved.
I just cleared the BIOS, cleaned the RAm and re-inserted it.
Now for the time being it is working FIne.

Friends , got a new problem now

i think the problem was not with the RAM but was with my BIOS.
When i cleared the BIOS, it starts working.
Now when i make some changes in BIOS, it gave some errors.
What can b the problem??
ALso, i had to reinstall GRUB thats y i inserted Live UBUNTU Cd and a when i selected start or install option then it gave this error::

[4294670.569000] Invalid compressed format[err=1]
[4294670.570000] Kernel Panic-Not syncing: VFS : Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(1,0)
[4294670.570000]

When i inserted Live Knoppix DVD it gave back this:
Kernel Panic - not syncing : VFS : unable to mount root fs on unknown - block(1,3)

What can b the problem ???
