diff bet C2d and core duo?

everyone knows how c2d are performing as compared to previous champions....
apart from the larger cache in c2d what is diff in c2d that make them so awesome....

Cuz in C2D Intel has used the Core architechture instead of the NetBurst archi used in the Pentium series.The NetBurst was crap due to the longer pipelines which resulted in gr8er heat.The Core archi is completely diff.

i actually did that....had used search string as "difference between core 2 duo and core duo" but all i did get was review of c2d or its comparison with amd equivalents.....neways guys thanks for the input so far.....

Core duo and Core solo are laptop processor.They r the ancestors of C2D(cuz C2D uses core archi which is derived from Core Duo and Core Solo).
