P4 2.80ghz 533mhzfsb 1mb l2 cache
Intel 845GVSR
samsung 80GB
512mb 333mhz ram

right now i dont have that much money so i was thinking that ill just get a new mobo, ram and hard disk...so i want a mobo which will support my current processor and in sometime ill upgrade to a core2duo E6600...prefrebly one with RAID feature in it...my budget is around 6-7k for the mobo. thanks

Why do u wanna spend 6 - 7k on ur mobo when u aint gonna use it for a long time.u'll get a good mobo 4 ur current propcessor for bout 2-3k.When u upgrade 2 C2D E6600 u'll have 2 buy a new mobo.so buy a cheap one now and get urself a good one later.

i wanted to buy a hi-fi mobo because the thing is that with my current mobo..if i get the same one...it only supports ram upto 333mhz and its not SATA compatible. so thats why if i get a good mobo i can buy a nice ram and hdd, otherwise ill have to buy everything again when i upgrade later on...

I think for your processor 875 is the highest you can get....but its not easily available in the market...don't know if it even exists!

But 865 is available...and it doesn't cost more than 4k.....
In short .........just get any mobo which is 865. based ...

Try searching for a mobo based on a chipset other than Intel cuz 865 and 875 support DDR1 but u'll need DDR2 for C2D E6300.i dont think u'll get a mobo which supports DDR2 for Intel 478 pin based processors i.e ur current processor.
