Default strange problem.......

recently when i try to switch on my pc, it doesnt start.....the pros. Led remains on continously and the monitor remains on the standby mode.....the pc sometimes starts perfectly and then i face no problem whatsoever.......hence i m convinced that it is not a heating prob.....plz help.........

check for loose connections. if it does not works remove ur r cmos battery & RAM.& reinstall them.tell me if it works or not.

Disconnect and re-connect all cables including power cables.

Do you hear the RAM test beep during Boot?

Your RAM is faulty or loosely connected to the Motherboard...Since you say that it starts normally sometimes, it might be a loose connection.

If you are very very sure that RAM is not the problem, it must be power.

some1 plz help........i cleared the cmos by the jumpers.....cleaned,inserted the ram in other slot....checked my monitor....working fine....checked all cables 4 loose connection.....inserted a new cmos cell....still not working....

Try changing your data cable of HDD........
I too was having some prob like that I first reinstalled Win XP but then too my prob not solved then I replaced its data cable and my computer is fine now. I think it might work.

Well this case happens with my friend a year back
what i did for him is replaced every thing again (LAN/SOUND/AGP/RAM/HDD/FLP/CD/DVD/PROC) after tryin lot of other options
and don know how but "it comes alive."
