If you are totally unfamiliar, it is best left to a technician. Otherwise, the Mobo manual will have all details. If necessay, you can download videos from the net.
Anyways
Ground yourself first to avoid damaging components by ESD.
Make sure of the alignment of processor to socket by looking for the arrow marks etc.
Make sure to follow instructions of placing and locking the HSF and of course before that, ensure that the thermal pad is in place or apply good thermal paste.
Do not forget to connect the fan cable to the proper socket in the Mobo.

BTW, are you going for water cooling?
