I just wanted to know, whether or not the Intel Motherboard DG965WH is launched in India or not.

If yes,

1. Where did you buy it from
2. What is it retail price

If anyone know about it, then please do post Also i read in this month issue of Digit that next month will have latest review of Mobo... so i am expecting some good reviews from DIGIT TEAM

Both of the MOBO are in 10000Range. I am looking for in range of Rs7000
Also P5B is good overclocker. I dont need overclocking anywayz

Even without ocing, Asus P5B will kill any other mobo other than Asus P5W which too is better for ocing only for conroes, not allendales.

That gigabyte mobo shouldnt be that expensive.

Also, if you can get P5B, great!

Look guys, if i buy P5B or P5B deluxe it wont have onboard graphics. So i will have to spend 6000-7000 for Graphic Card aswell it wont be DX10 Card.

I am not a rich dude lol that i spend Rs 17000 for a MOBO and Graphic Card. So i am looking for 965 series MOBO with onbaord Graphics at the moment cause i am not gamer. I just use my PC for managing my websites and my webhosting biz

965G series graphics card will hardly be sold this year in retail channel, cos first the availablity is low, & 2nd, most of this chipset based motherboards from intel are being sold to OEM, to make low cost Vista certified PCs, u will hardly find one in retail in india.

other solutions with onboard graphics can be a Asrock VSTA motherboard i heard about based on 945G chipset, it runs Vista fine & comes with a PCIe slot for later upgradation

so my only option will be to use DG965RY which is the good 965g m/b which is available here in india.? currently i dont have the budget to spend 8-10k for a gfx card but later ill be adding it.

does anyone know of other alternatives and the prices??

I got it from Redington India Pvt. Ltd. - Cochin. Price was 7300 + tax. They are a bit expensive but they were the only one who had this model.

Do they have Distributors in Rest of India ? Anyhow the Board is very expensive in India compared to Internation Price of 119$ But i still like the features of this board

It was available in Cochin so it will definitely be available in Delhi. And as they are distributors they wont do retail and hence you will have to buy it thru a dealer.

just send them a mail to confirm whether its available.

By the way, have to tried playing games with the onboard G965 chipset?

yea tried a few games. nfs carbon runs fine in low settings also half life 2 run fine in medium-high settings.

anyway its a nice onboard gpu.

I have been post poning my desktop since last 2 months only because of MOBO because my current MOBO sucks and i cannot put new parts on it. So i am doing my best to get best MOBO this time cause all depends on MOBO
