I am going to Setup WiFi LAN (WiFi experienced user's views invited)

Hi,

I had earlier plan to use internet with a WiFi ISP but later on shifted to Dataone and its cool till now.

Now I have an AP with me, thats Senao NL-2611CB3.

I am planning make a tower at my roof (preferrebly 30 ft high, last time I had 40 ft but was bit unstable), I have all arrangments for tower but the problem is that I am unable to find proper connector to use external antenna with the AP.
Right now I think I need a bigger pictel ie. so that it can propogate signals properly. My aim is to cover 1 km radius ie. all computer guy who is willing to join in 1 km radius can join using appropriate hardware, preferrably an wireless bridge at their point.
Basically I want to setup a LAN for all my nearest friends having computer.

So anyone here who can help me to find connectors or bigger pictel for my AP .

I hope among thousands of digit fora members, few are having WiFi experience too.

i think a wrt54g with 3rd party firmware and good antennas would be a better choice

I know that good antennas and would be good.
But right now I have to do arrangement in present resources. I have senao AP and it won't be a problem if it can't do more than 500 mtrs.
What I asked that can anyone tell me what to do with connectors.. as I am unable to find connector and external antenna for my AP.
