Exclamation My PC is sooo....

STRANGE.... @#!@%

It just suddenly becomes all slow and sluggish (like now, as i was typing... it just paused for a moment,as if to breathe... damn!!!)

Anyways... the problem is: When i open my PC, it takes ages for my antivirus (avast 4 prof.) to start... atleast 2 mins and then when i click on "connect to" menu in start menu!!!

It hangs my computer!!!

Well i thought maybe it's my network card and anitvirus conflicting... but then, sometimes when i have "IE, firefox, yahoo messenger" opened... the Pc sort of freezes !!!

WHY ? WHY ? WHY ?... any prblem with RAM perhaps ?

Damn... this is becoming embarrasing, I'm always... SOS !!! SORRY

Your Avast is most probabaly the Culprit.

first Disable your AVAST AV from start-up (in msconfig) & then restart.
Now see whether there's a change.

To test being online, get another free AV, (AVG Free), Disable-Avast (as told above) & check .

My cousin had similar probs. with Avast, now he uses AVG Free- No problems from 10 months.
you can also use the AOL Free AV. Its better at detection than the Avast.

Try out KASpersky Antivirus after a new installation for ur windows.
Its a suggestion
It will not gain that kind of efficiency which u can can get after a fresh installation
