USB drive not working on my machine

Hi,

I've purchased a kingston 1gb usb drive..it worked fine...but these days my machine is not showing the contents of the drive even though it detect it. Sometimes it'll show an error pointing it as "USB device not recognized". And interestingly, at times I get a glimpse of my files for 5secs n then it'll go blank...What would be the problem..??? probably with the port...huh ? plzzz help me...thanking you.

if its the port, then put it into a different one, if not, try formatting the drive.

check the boot setup

if u have set the usb config some where to disabled!!

also if ur having xp rightclick on my computer >properties> hardware > see if the usb is wrking fine there or not !!

the port is loose.. may be interwiring is loose if it is a fron panal port.

try on another port/system

Try in another computer.Even then it is not working then may the USB is ....
if it is working there is problem with ur pc. Try formatting ur pc.
