Cool Re: disc reading error

Generally a CRC checks the data present in any media and the copied content to another media for accuracy of size and other aspects

in my case, i experienced these CRC erros on my Original GTA San Andreas Game DVD, & the culprit was my DVD Drive, i just cleaned it (with cleaning CD) & the error was gone.

if you're getting CRC errors on heavely scratched CD/DVD, then i doubt there's any way to save your data.
But there are loads of CD/DVD Data Recovery application, you can try them like "CD DVD Data Recovery" http://www.008soft.com/

Default Re: disc reading error

it happens somtimes due to 1)scratch on the disk OR 2)drive read prob OR 3)if the disk is copied from a bad source......

u can overcome case 1 and 2 by cleaning the drive lens and disk...
