DVD recorder - Firmware Update

I have SONY DRU-820A.
The update of firmware is available on the supported website.
My writter is working nice without a single problem ever.

I want to know that
Should i update the firmware ?
What this updating make the difference ?

well, i noticed better stability from my ASUS dvd-rw when i upgraded the firmware

i have also updated my sony dvd writer DRU 810A when i record any dvd it shows the firmware version in nero and i think the writing is improoved a bit

Well .. if ur getting an official firmware then definitely get it ... u should see some improvements or no at all ...
