i mean generally if u buy a new hdd and remove the one which has windows, u have to reinstall windows and all other programs, and i dont wanna do that. so is there any way to do this? |

make an image of the hdd..means program and os ....inshort the drive..and then transform the image to new drive ..simple
u can use norton ghost for that....

Ya, wizrulz is right but if U have an 64 bit processor then old versions of norton ghost will not work so d/l the latest version of Ghost.

thx for the replies.
now i dont have a 64 bit processor, i have a celeron 2.4 ghz processor with mercury 845 mobo now suppose if i use ghost to make the image of the drive, then still wont the windows registry have the problem when i move it to a new HDD becos my partition sizes will be different. and can u pls give me a brief idea abt how i can go about doing it(without the help of a hardware engg). |
