solve the problem ofasus mother board (URGENTLY REQUIRED)

Ihave an ASUS P4GEMX MOTHER BOARD.The problem is while I connect my dvd/CD-RW to the 40 pin IDE AND TRY TO OPERATE a cd or dvd often it read the cd ordvd or it will hang the system.when itry to run that dvd rw through usb port it will work properly.
Another problem is while ion the computer MOTHERBOARD LOGO SCREEN IS COMING AND AFTER NO BOOTING START.THEN I WHEN I RESTART THE SYSTEM AGAIN FOR 1 OR MORE IT WILL START BOOTING.
PLEASE SOLVE & REPLY.

i cant understand what u wish to say about ide device

but as of machine booting will second attempt do one thing

just push the button once and wait if it comes back to life after a sec or two then its ok as the mobo is equiped with boot guard and it this dosenot happen the run to ur reseller

best to install BIOS UPDATES FOR THAT MOTHER BAOARD,CHECH IT IN ASUS SITE,IT WILL RESOLVE AL THE MAJOR PROBLEMS
